Baron Real Estate Golf Tournament

The lush, expansive views of the St. Lucie Trail Golf Club in Port St. Lucie recently served as the backdrop for a Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Guardian’s for New Futures Children’s Advocacy Center.

Presented by Baron Real Estate and sponsored by many local businesses, including title sponsor St. Lucie Battery & Tire, the four-person scramble format offered a few premier opportunities to win big.

Although no one scored the elusive hole-in-one and walked away with the shiny-new Audi, sponsored by Stuart Audi, or the $10,000 put up by Lott Insurance, supporters sure had fun trying!

“This center is all about changing the trajectory of lives of the children in our community,” said Debbie Butler, Board President of Guardians for New Futures.

“The Advocacy Center is, essentially, a one-stop-shop for abused and neglected children entering the system and coming into our care.  All the necessary resources will be in one location, thereby reducing the trauma on the children.”

“Not having to retell their story over and over again,” said Florida State Rep. Dana Trabulsy, “and being re-traumatized each time will help the speed of services and the healing process.”

Trabulsy, who sponsored a bill with State Senator Gayle Harrell, which Governor Ron Desantis ultimately signed, brings $1.3 million for the project.

“The Children’s Advocacy Center is a blessing to victims at their most vulnerable moment.”

For their part, Jason Yarborough, CEO, and the rest of the Baron Real Estate team are excited to help fundraise for the nonprofit. They are thrilled to participate in events that keep the money in the local community and raise awareness for the needs of the children.

Baron Realtor Willie Brooks helped raise additional funds with his impressive live-auction skills.  Many participants brought home fabulous auction prizes as well as an assortment of raffle prizes.

With a team score of 55, tournament winners include Jason Wheeler, Marcus Sigmon, Nick Madden, and Nick Sama!
