GFNF helps children to be seen and heard by providing community awareness regarding child maltreatment and child deaths due to abuse and neglect. Through training workshops community members learn how to better recognize signs and symptoms of maltreatment and how to protect the child from further harm.
Thousands of abused and neglected children end up in judicial proceedings every year in Florida through no fault of their own. Guardian ad Litem volunteers represent the best interests of the child during the family crisis and court proceedings.
Volunteer today to help children in multiple ways – every talent and background can be of significance. It is an extremely rewarding experience to be able to help a child.
